Probably everyone knows a rumour that Poland lived mainly in the 60s and 70s. It was about a black limousine driving around the city – Black Volga, which allegedly kidnapped children. The legend of the Black Volga returns! But today with a wink of the eye! This car has great value in its time, and unfortunately it was destroyed by the stupid policy of the communist authorities.
Since the time of my youth I dreamt of buying and renovating a car like Volga. But I did not want a standard model. Finally, after almost three years of searching, I accidentally found the desired car in the village of Abasha in Georgia. The Volga I bought is a GAZ-24 M1 model from 1980, with a 2.45 L engine, Chaika’s engine and original parts. This is a passer-by model of the Volga Gaz 24 to Gaz 2410. This type of car was also called KGB – Volga or daganialka. Only a few thousand vehicles of this model were produced.
The previous owner of my car is a son of a former KGB employee in Abkhazia region. He received the Volga as a gift from his father for his weekly trips to Abkhazia for entertainment. The unique design, the goose bumps of the engine, the spacious interior of the car and the comfort of driving, is what captivated me in it. In addition, the car was in perfect condition and had only 25000 km on the odometer.
Since the Volga cars in recent years have been making more and more noise not only in Georgia, but also in Europe, I decided to use this unique car in tourism. Our guests have the opportunity not only to get to know the beauty of Georgia, but also to get to know the beauty of Georgia from a beautiful car! There is no place in our country we can’t reach with this car. We were on the Black Sea, on the Zekari Pass, we were in Racha, we drove the whole Swanetian loop, we were also in the eastern part of Georgia. But conquering such an area wouldn’t have been possible without an experienced and well tuned team that we create together with my irreplaceable friend – Irakli. Traveling and discovering new areas with them is a pleasure. And adventure.
Before our trips, our guests usually argue about who is gonna ride in the trunk this time ? Our Volga never drives empty. To the families we visit, we always go with the car loaded to the brim.
